A little about ourselves
We are a group of Haitians and Americans working together to provide a basic need to people in northern Haiti.
Water is life. No one can live without it.
We recognized the lack of clean safe water in Haiti after a Mission Trip to Cap Haitien in 2012. At that time the decision was made to get involved. We identified Bio-Sand water filters to be the best in home filtering system for the Haitian society.

The Need
- As the poorest nation in the western hemisphere, Haiti is extremely vulnerable to natural hazards, with more than 90% of the population at risk. Almost 60% of Haitians live below the poverty line of $2.41 a day, and millions struggle to find clean drinking water. (source)
- Globally, 829,000 people are estimated to die yearly from diarrhoea as result of unsafe drinking-water, sanitation and hand hygiene, 36% of them are children under the age of 5. (source)
A 16 minute video explaining the situation in Haiti.
One of Haiti's largest drinking water companies was forced to close due to lack of fuel. Without clean water Haiti has had a cholera outbreak. This video gives a summary of Haitian history. NOTE: There are some advertisements in it. |
